In spite of their own financial woes, Jeff and Shelley Lampe of Louisville, KY had converted part of their home into a gym and offered wrestling training to local children. Rubber-Cal donated its Coin-Grip rolled rubber flooring to help Extreme Makeover: Home Edition renovate the Lampes' home and give them a brand new home gym with a durable gym floor. Staff Sgt. Patrick Ziegler was gravely injured in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting and survived despite incredible odds. In an episode that aired on February 21, 2011, Extreme Makeover gave Staff Sgt. Ziegler and his fiancé Jessica Hansen a new house and a beautiful wedding. Touched by their incredible story, Rubber-Cal donated its Elephant Bark rubber gym flooring to furnish the couple's gym and rehabilitation area.
