Utatakho is a docu-reality show that is in its fifth season. The production explores the contentions that arise out of the issue of paternity. The show seeks to answer ONE simple question: ARE YOU THE FATHER?

 

This  is answered through a paternity test, where the children are tested against their alleged father, or, the father's immediate family, who share the same DNA coding. All of this is done to ascertain whether there is or isn't a biological relationship between them.

 

The journey on Utatakho commences when an individual writes into the show, be it a father who believes he is being lied to about his child's paternity, or a mother who wants to be vindicated in her claim of paternity, or a child who wants to prove who their father is.
