The Annex ( Post Production)
Established in 2016, the Annex is an exciting addition to the Connect Channel franchise. Our Post Production facility was launched to support the Connect TV shows, but has the capacity to offer post-production support to independent producers. A team of 12 creative and unique editors bring their experience and culturally relevant insights to the variety of genres finished under one roof. We are available to help you out of a deadline jam, edit a series for you, complete a once off job or undertake a fixed term contract. A team of dedicated, deadline driven editors are always willing to go the extra mile.
Our Team is made up of up and coming junior editors and mid level editors who are guided by a team of three senior editors with decades of experience between them. While we currently concentrate on high-end reality TV productions, our team has experience in a variety of short-form and long-form formats including news, sport, business, studio shows, wildlife, children’s programming and commercials.
The Annex has 10 non-linear offline edit suites editing on Premiere Pro CC, three grading suites running DaVinci Resolve 14.0 Studio as well as an ingest and delivery suite, together with 300 terrabytes of storage sitting on a 300mbps fibre network backbone. All suites, subject to availability, are available for dry-hire finished by state of the art grading suites and our passion for perfection. We pride ourselves on the quality of our shows.





TEAM
DIRECTORS

Clifford is one of the founders, as well as an executive director of Connect Channel. He is a social entrepreneur and architect, has a track record of developing businesses as a resource to drive transformation and social change, has served as a director of the Mineworkers Investment Company (‘MIC’) continuously since 1995, initially as the founding CEO (1995-2003) and founded and implemented the renown Peermont School Support Programme to develop schools of excellence in Gauteng.

Basetsana is one of SA’s most recognised personal brands, as well as being a leading figure in the television and content industry. She is one of the founders as well as the executive CEO of Connect Channel, a self-made businesswoman, a philanthropist, a WEF Young Global Leader and spokesperson for UNICEF. As chairperson of Tswelopele Productions, she has also produced Top Billing (SABC 3) and Pasella (SABC 2).
MANAGERS

Jennifer started as an intern at Connect TV in 2015 and thereafter, became a Post Production Assistant for four years. During these four years, she has gained invaluable experience in coordinating the company's Post Production. She continues to ensure that our wide ranging clients always receive quality work. Jennifer studied dramatic arts and television production and she has fulfilled varied posts in the entertainment industry for approximately 10 years.

Prior to facilitating the bookings and scheduling for the Annex, Connect TV's Post Production facility, Duncan was employed as a facilities supervisor which entailed that he oversaw, maintained and serviced various departments. This proved as a great training for his current position where he currently manages the ingest and edit procedure for Connect TV's various productions.
